Google maps has had a crazy feature for a while that let you roam through cities at the street level and view them as if you were there. It was rolled out for a few large cities and now Kansas City is available. This is blowing my mind.
I am sitting here looking at my roommates car parked in front of our house on Google Maps.

A new Piano bar type joint is opening downtown called Howl at the Moon. Today is the “grand opening” and I got hired to cover the event in addition to doing some promotional work for the place. Really excited about the event overall. The demand to get into this thing has been a little nutty…way way more people than capacity. Hopefully I bring my A game and capture some of that excitement.
This has been a good week. Sold some photographs to a few people for their new place and have some others lined up that are interested in addition to the paid gig. A lot of work has been going on behind the scenes for future projects. I have decided on a supplier and am finalizing everything needed to receive payments. The task at hand currently is clearly mapping out the whole process of shooting, displaying, payment, and delivery in the best manner. Being able to manage the back end as far as organization and paper work is key.
Thanks to Chris for giving me a heads up on a new web app Blist. Blist is a database on drugs. It is a user friendly way to use a database beyond numbers and letters adding the ability to organize rich media and dynamic information to use. It really is hard to wrap my head around all the different ways this could be used so I am excited to see where this leads.
I am not quite sure when all of these pets came around. I have accidentally morphed into the cute puppy photographer. However, not all of my animal run ins have been so cute and cuddly. I stopped in to see Joel on my way to Danny’s house Monday evening and was met by a very suspicious cat. As I conversed with Joel and Amber this black cat slowly and deliberately paced around glaring at me. It looked a lot like the little dance an Ultimate Fighter does before the bell rings…just walking around trying to be intimidating. As I left the place I got tripped up in some wires that were plugged into a laptop computer…as soon as I got untangled I looked over to see the cat reappear again just to give me the evil eye before I left. I don’t think you could convince me the wire incident wasn’t the cat’s doing.
