Hissss….BAM!

Peaceful day. Warm winds blowing through with the sounds of the city out of audible range. I am sizing up a long set of trains that are sitting in front of an abandoned factory. If the situation allows it, I try to make the process of finding shots slow and relaxing. You can imagine the startled (and comical) way by body reacted to the gentle release of air followed by a long booming sound that set the cars into motion.

For a split second I felt like Steve Martin in “The Jerk”. They hate photographers! My senses came back to me and it was obvious they were releasing the brakes and getting the train show on the road. This set really looks like something that would have come out of Springfield and not Kansas City. These structures right of Southwest Boulevard had been drawing me in ever since I stopped in for some fantastic Rosedale’s BBQ. I need to incorporate for black and white work and I think the selected ones were perfect for that.
