It has been a bit of a whirlwind this Thanksgiving but that is a good thing. Lots of time with family and friends with a mini T-Giving by the immediate family that is 3 members strong and a larger one on Saturday with the extended family. The food highlight of T-Giving #1 was the mashed potatoes. Lets just say you don’t get those at my place in Springfield. Food highlight of T-Giving #2 had to be squash. They hollowed out a squash and put some brown sugar and a little bit of butter (I think) in the middle and then baked it. It was as tasty as it was different.
Great sports weekend. The Chiefs game was incredible. The evening from beginning to end was very special. We had amazing seats and Arrowhead was as loud and fun. The Chiefs took care of business and put themselves in a great spot to make the playoffs. The University of Missouri did their part my dominating Kansas. Good to see them taking hold of that part of the border war. Missouri State also had a great weekend beating #7 Wisconsin in basketball and then barely losing to Oklahoma State in OT. This team will do some good things. The MVC as a whole has had a great start to the season.
I took a lot of pictures this weekend. I hate to toot my own horn but I took a lot of really good pictures. It will take time to sort them out though. There will be at least 400 pictures that I will need to process when I get back into Springtown. It won’t take to long to get them up since I am off Monday. Keep checking back to see the new work.

I didn’t have any turkey or anything other traditional thanksgiving food while in Mexico… but, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Manny’s (www.mannysbeachclub.net) has the NFL Network and showed the Chiefs/Broncos game live. Gotta love being in another country and still being able to see my team kick ass.

Very nice. I had a friend who was in St. John’s and ate turkey on the beach. I thought you were the real deal.
