It is an amazing day in Springtown. I don’t have to work until later this afternoon so it has been a great chance to relax and have some downtime. The windows in our house are open and fresh cool air is making its way throughout our home. This has also been a good chance to take in some music. Hope you like…

John Legend has a new song called “Save Room” that I can’t stop listening too. It is laid back and very smooth. It has this old school loungish feel to it. Click below to hear it.

Snow Patrol released an album not long ago. I was really impressed with the things they brought to the table. I have always liked their work but I was very surprised at how much range they showed. One of the better tracks “Chasing Cars” is below.

Another great group that recentely brought a new album to the world is Guster. They lived up to the lofty expectations I set for them as a group. After some searching I found the music video for “One Man Wrecking Machine”.

Broncos - 9 Chiefs - 6

Weird game. Tough loss.

I say tough loss but it is probably the least frustrated I have been with the way a loss happened. This team showed a lot of good things in the game at Denver. We rolled in with a backup QB who isn’t all that great and executed a game plan that went really well aside from a few critical errors and turnovers. The defense played really well…can’t ask them to much more.

This shows just how much upside the Chiefs really do have this year. If they can shore up some of their pass protection problems and get Green back they will be very hard to beat. The Broncos will be funny to watch over the course of the season. At least the excuse for dumbing down our offense is based on the ineptness of our starting QB. San Diego is playing very well but we will learn a lot more about them after next week. They have looked against the two worst teams in the NFL. The Raiders are so bad. It is incredible how terrible they are.

Onward and upward…

A fantastic opportunity has fallen at my feet. I have been asked to speak to a news photography class at Missouri State University. The professor asked me to focus on composition. The idea of throwing out a few of things I have learned and am good at to some other people is very exciting. I will have to focus my message and find some good pictures to illustrate my points. I go in Tuesday morning. Hopefully it goes well.

I was called in to work early this morning so I didn’t have the whole day off like I had planned but going in and making some money isn’t a bad thing. I am done with work and ready to relax…

There is a glass chilling in the freezer waiting for some cold milk to be poured in it. I also have some pasta ready to be whipped up for a meal.

College football on TV today. Missouri plays New Mexico tonight but until that starts I am watching Oregon play Oklahoma. I have always enjoyed watching Oregon go to work. They don’t always have the best team but they are exciting and an easy school to get behind.

Go Tigers.

Space!

Ordered a much needed hard drive off of NewEgg.com today. Got a pretty good deal. I will finally be able to recover from the great computer crash of 2006. Instead of using this slow piece of crap I will be able to have a machine that will be able to handle all the things it is needed for.

I learned something interesting this morning on the radio while commuting to work. They had the guy who played “Biff” in the Back To The Future movies on the show and he had some interesting info. Apparently Eric Stoltz was originally cast in the role of Marty McFly instead of Micheal J Fox. They even shot the film for 6 whole weeks before they concluded it just wasn’t working out. Exit Stoltz enter Teen Wolf and the rest is history. Thanks for the tidbit Biffster.
