This past weekend I spent some time with a few neighbors doing the grill thing. I couldn’t help but laugh at some video I got. Below Elmer (in the blue) and Tom (without the shirt) threw four strips of uncooked bacon to the grill right before I began filming. The fire went so nuts the bacon just fired up and died. We are talking about going from raw bacon to dust in about 45 seconds. The best part is how Tom thinks he can somehow save them.

Last night I took a late trip to Wal Mart with June and Adam. If it seems like they end up in a good deal of my pictures its because we hang out a lot and they don’t mind me poking around their daily lives with my camera. That freaks a good amount of people out.
Wal-Mart has always been strange to me. Consumerism at its finest. The place has always intrigued me because it has the most amount of bodies you will see in such a space but a very small amount of life.
Saving $1.02 on butter just does things to people I guess.
I haven’t had much time to process these or do little touch ups that I like but here is some of the work from this weekend. My dad and I had a great trip to KC visisting the Negro Leagues Museum and the Jazz Museum at 18th and Vine. Click here to see the complete set of shots.
Happy Easter to everyone. Hopefully this site’s visitors have a joyus time with friends and family. Alot of pictures have been taken and it is going to take a crap load of time to process when I get back to Springfield but soon enough there will be some good shots including a trip to downtown KC, crazy clouds outside of Danny’s house, and eggs that are dressed up.

Alot of folks around the apartment complex had a BBQ last night. It was cool to meet some new faces and just take it easy. I got a few snapshots that I liked.
I get to go back home for a while! Introduce myself to the family again because time back home has been scarce. As much as I love Springfield and the environment I have made for myself you can’t quite replace home.
I will roll in early Saturday morning and take a trip to downtown KC with my Dad to take some photos. We have been meaning to do this for a while but it always seems to fall through. I have wanted to do some work in the city I love but it is so hard to find time. There are a few places he knows of that he feels will make for good shots so I look forward to it. It is always kind of weird doing my pictures with people around. I just have this weird process where I zone out and look at things. Megan got a little preview when we were walking and I would dart somewhere mid conversation and tell her to give me a few minutes. It’s a process for sure.
Saturday evening will probably be spent with Evan and some guys that are in for the weekend. I will also need to make a cameo at the Collins household for their Easter festivities.
