Am I Boring?

// February 28th, 2006 // 4 Comments » // Thoughts

Sorry for the lack of updates. My world just seems so bland these days that it can be hard to sit down and figure out things to write about. There is nothing wrong with boring; my time is spent working towords a very real goal but it is a pretty mundane process.

Tonight there is a Mardi Gras pub crawl downtown. Some folks wanted me to go out there with them but I really wasn’t in the mood so I am going to try and get some good pictures of the event instead. Should be some really good chances.

The Dot Com Is Back!

ZachIsHere.com was in purgatory for a while. Seems as though I got behind on my renewel payments. But everything is back on track so things for coming back. What happened during the absense? A few things….

-I got really really sick and went to the doctor. They gave me about $100 worth of antibiotics and I am better. A cough has still stuck around but that is a lot better then being in total pain and not being able to go to work.

-Work has been done on the photo business and I have made some great connections.

-I have decided that I will be staying in Springfield after my lease is done at the end of July and will probably move in with a group of guys not too far away. More on this later.

-There was a pretty big Springfield bloggers meeting and I got made fun of for always changing the look of my site. Kind of bad when a group of geeks are making fun of you.

-Missouri State got another impressive win and is poised to go to the big dance.

Not feeling good at all today. I am actually feeling something that is on the oppisite spectrum than good. I am feeling bad. Had a good time with Megan last night at Ebbet’s. We then made our way to The Dugout to catch Shelby and Casey.

I didn’t feel that bad when I woke up but it has just gotten worse as the day has progressed. My whole body feels really achy and I feel really warm. Thank god I don’t have to work today or tomorrow. I have been lucky enough to just hibernate in my warm apartment has the brutal cold whips around outside.

There has been some good TV on including Missouri State playing basketball on ESPN2. They bolstered their chance to gain entry into the big dance with an impressive win at Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

Missouri State

Bah. I am going back to bed now. Hopefully a good night’s sleep makes things better.

Update
(9:50): My work called me and they sounded pretty desperate so I am going to go in and work tomorrow hoping that I start feeling better. Pray for me and feel sorry for me at the same time. Ha.

I had a great time with my friends in Columbia. Lots of good drinks, food, and people. Below is a video from a roomie of Danny and Dirk. It is worth a few laughs.

I am having a late lunch and heading back to Springtown later. There will be a few stops to try and get some pictures on the way back. I plan on making a stop at the capital.

I hope everyone had a great V-Day. I am writing from the University Of Missouri the destination of a road trip I decided to take on the spur of the moment. Last night me and the guy’s went to a place called Willie’s which seemed to be a really big Ebbet’d Field. It is the middle of the week so things are pretty low key with school and everything. This is mostly a chance to unwind, take some pictures in a new setting, and see some friends I have not caught up with in a while.

Tomorrow I will post some pictures I come up with on campus. Keep checking back.

Huge win for the Bears tonight on the heels of the announcment of a new 60 million dollar arena. The Missouri Valley Conference as a whole is very good this year. They will take at least 4 teams to the big dance.

Coaching Woes In Oakland

// February 10th, 2006 // 1 Comment » // Thoughts

It seems the Raiders can’t give their head coaching job away. What a joke that franchise has become. Super Bowl winning offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt and Louisville coach Bobby Petrino have pulled out of consideration for the Oakland Raiders coaching vacancy. (Via CNNSI.com)

There is still time for some coaches of powerhouse high school teams to throw in their applications. The six game winning streak the Chiefs enjoy over the Raiders seems to have a bright future. Three straight losses to a division rival in your own house. Ouch.

Kuharich will take over the player personnel duties for the Kansas City Chiefs from Lynn Stiles. Hopefully our decisions in the area of scouting and talent evaluation will improve. Stiles will remain vice president of football operations. (Via KCStar.com)

Herm Edwards earlier retained Gunther Cunningham as defensive cooardinator and tapped Mike Solari to take over the offensive cooardinator position. I think Solari will be a great fit. He knows the players and is responsible for the play of one of the best offensive lines in the history of the game. I am looking forward to a high powered offense that can not only score poionts but can dominant time of posession and control a whole game.
