October Is Just About Gone

// October 28th, 2005 // 4 Comments » // Thoughts

I was supposed to meet with an AF advisor today but he fell ill so it will be put off just a bit. No big deal though, everything will happen soon.

There are a few exciting things coming up. Happy Endings is playing at the Rockwell so I am getting a few people together for that and next Tuesday Senor Danny Collins will be coming to visit Springfield for an interview. We will get to spend some quality stupid time together which I am looking forward to.

Big game for the Chiefs this weekend…pray for the men in red. Pray for them before you pray for world peace and sick little Timmy and various unimportant things that go through your prayer tunnel. Chiefs first and then everything else.

RIP Spam

I am shocked and amazed. The new tool I have used to combat spam has worked far better than I thought a spam tool could ever work.

Since putting it in a few days ago it has blocked….get this…3,104 pieces of spam and kept them safe from my site. Not a single bit has snuck through the cracks.

A big thanks goes out to the people who have brought me Akismet.

Why 6 Chicks?

// October 26th, 2005 // 2 Comments » // Thoughts

The other day I was asked a question. An unidentified friend asked “If you could get on any six chicks in the world that you don’t know. Who would they be?”

The first thing that went through my head was “why the number six?” Seems like a very random number when five seems to be status quo for frat boy hypotheticals.

I have never really been one to “get into” celebs like most but after some thought this is the list I came up with. Enjoy.

1. Reese Witherspoon
2. Kirsten Dunst
3. Olivia Williams
4. Catherine Zeta Jones
5. Jennifer Garner
6. Selma Blair

The Kids Of ZachIsHere!

// October 25th, 2005 // No Comments » // Thoughts

As I was sorting through some website stuff today it struck me that there are some darn cute kids that have an association with this place. Below are pictures and the way they are connected. The future of America seems promising…

1. The son of my friend Mark who runs Thou Shall Not Suck.
2. My cousin Jacob.
3. Parker is the son of Terrance who is the man behind the Republic Of T.
4. Reese is Pink’s daughter at The Klosters.

Below is a description of something that could only come from a child’s mind…

as reese and i were coloring (which btw is proving to be one of her favorite things to do of late–clear your refrigerators people), she handed me the white crayon and insisted that it was ‘broken.’

i attempted to explain it, “no honey, it’s not broken. it’s just the color white. she tried again writing with it on the page, handed it back to me in disgust and chose the blue one.

i got nuthin’.

Chiefs Beat Odds And Dolphins

// October 22nd, 2005 // No Comments » // Thoughts

The Chiefs looked really good on Friday night.

Everything was stacked up against them. They have a history of losing in Miami. They didn’t get to practice much. They flew in the same day they played.

But none of that mattered.

The offense got a little bit of its style back and started to look like the squad we have been cheering on for years. Green made good passes downfield and got Tony in the mix. Our running game came out of its shell and the Holmes/Johnson backfield worked like it should.

The defense did great against the run. Except for a few weird fluke plays they did a fantastic job. There were two points in the game where Miami had 1st and Goal only to be held to a field goal.

Next week is a big test against a good San Diego team.
